I have mixed feelings about the naming of things. On the one hand, it seems rather dictatorial that a boffin in a white coat somewhere gets to choose (or sometimes change) the name of a plant, to decide what family it belongs it and that eucalypts, for example, are the cousins of arbutus…and don’t start me on a rant about Georgiana Molloy1, who collected…
