and now for my special (paid) subscriber adventure…
One of you kind readers recently asked me if I could offer an online course in making a journeycloth. Beginning the making of one will be included in the program (along with fresh blues, ecoprint, string-twining and the making of a deceptively simple dress) for this year’s gathering in Bretagne, but only four places remain available in that retreat and so I thought I would offer a little “taster” class here, as a thank you to those who are kindly contributing to the tip jar 💙
Then as I was videoing the first bits, I thought of all the lovely possibilities that can be introduced to this project, and have already written the notes for at least another six episodes. They will follow at 3 or 4 week intervals, and will allow me to show you my own gentle progress on the sample (that I am already rather falling in love with!)
This is my original journeycloth, that has accompanied me through many a waiting situation since 2019. (Kubbi offered to model after Tilly got lost in it.)
Fetch a lovely cup of tea, come sit down beside me on the couch and I’ll show you how it’s done.
