a brief post script to mud-wrestling

The June 20 offering included a story about ochre…this afternoon I found a video shot by my cousin Anda, who was also on our pilgrimage in Latvija. I’d forgotten that I had attached some rusty chain attached to the end of the hand-twined string to give it more weight. The first attempt (which merely had a piece of tangled wire at the end) wasn’t heavy enough to scrape up any ochre. It’s not often I have a helpful videographer around…usually I prop my ‘device’ on a handy log and hope I don’t stray too far out of shot.
